Tim Egan
Timothy James Egan passed on Sept. 17th, 2024, at the age of 74. Tim was born on July 28th, 1950, in St. Paul, MN, to Eugene and Rose (Nee Daninger) Egan. Tim attended South St. Paul High School and Potsdam High School. After graduating he played hockey at Canton College. As a lifelong salesman, he successfully navigated various industries throughout his career. Most memorably he was a dedicated coach, brother, father, and friend. He is preceded by his mother and father, and brothers Joe and Bill. He is survived by brothers Pat (Cathie) and Vince (Jill), daughter Leslie (Todd Jovonovich), sons Chris and John (Amy), and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and his grandkids Mira, Gavin, and Arlo. Tim brought energy, passion, opinions, and humor wherever he went. A proud inductee to the International Softball Conference Hall of Fame, his competitive spirit balanced teeth-clenching tenacity with clear-eyed perspective and reverence for whatever game he was playing – the kind of guy you’d want on your team. May he rest in peace.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Union Gospel Mission.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday Nov. 16, 2024 (1-4pm) at Klecatsky and Sons Chapel in Eagan, MN. (Text and photo from Klecatsky and Sons Funeral Home obituary)
